The Ironville terminal encompasses 80 acres and has approximately 28,000 feet of rail. There is a self unloader receiving hopper and conveying system that can receive bulk products directly from vessels at 2,000 NT per hour. Also, there are liquid bulk transloading racks and pumps to move material directly from rail to truck and visa versa.
Acquired in 2008 by the Toledo Lucas County Port Authority, the 180 acre site is a former refinery property. Midwest Terminals of Toledo can offer custom solutions for bulk, liquid and warehousing at this site.
Toledo is located at the west end of Lake Erie, part of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Toledo sits within a 500 mile radius of 43 percent of US and 47 percent of Canadian population. Toledo is closer to many major ports in Europe than US East Coast and Gulf Coast ports. (See additional maps and charts.)
